學術寫作必備的九種「補充說明」轉承詞

不管是在寫作或口說中，常常會一直使用first、second來談論原因，但過度使用反而讓你顯得太機器人（robotic）。這裡介紹九種增加額外資訊的轉承詞（linking words），讓你的文章、口說內容更流暢豐富！

重點整理｜補充轉承詞的三個重點

1. first、second 用太多會顯得生硬
2. moreover、what's more 補充資訊
3. likewise、similarly 帶出相似觀點

1. Moreover（此外）

The whole report is poorly written. Moreover, it's inaccurate.（整個報告都寫得很差，而且還內容不實。）

2. Furthermore / In addition（此外）

Furthermore, there is evidence to suggest that whales used to live on lands.（此外，有證據顯示鯨魚曾居住於陸地。）

3. What's more（而且）

What's more, this isn't the only evidence that supports this hypothesis.（而且，這不是唯一支持那個假設的證據。）

4. Likewise（同樣地）

Scholar A believes X. Likewise, Scholar B argues compellingly in favour of this point of view.（學者A相信X。同樣地，學者B也令人信服地表示支持同樣的論點。）

5. Similarly（同樣地）

Cars must stop at red traffic lights; similarly, bicycles have to stop too.（汽車遇到紅燈時必須停下來，同樣，腳踏車也應該停下來。）

6. Another key thing to remember（另外）

Another key thing to remember is that we cannot overgeneralize the situation without having a thorough investigation.（另外，我們不能在沒有仔細的調查之前，籠統概括這個狀況。）

7. As well as（也是、和）

Scholar A argued that this was due to X, as well as Y.（學者A說，這是因為X也因為Y所造成的。）

8. Coupled with（連同於）

Coupled with the literary evidence, the statistics paint a compelling view of X.（連同於文獻上的證據，這數據顯示了一個令人信服的結果X。）

9. Not to mention / To say nothing of（更不用說）

The war caused unprecedented suffering to millions of people, not to mention its impact on the country's economy.（那個戰爭造成了史無前例的數百萬人的受難，更不用說其對國家經濟的衝擊了。）
